I would like to invite you to join APEC Cyber Academy International Online Learning Contest for both elementary and high school students. This project is hosted by University of Tainan, Taiwan and its site is http://linc.hinet.net/apec Please use internet explorer as your browser when you visit the site. In case you receive this letter and you're not a classroom teacher, i would like to ask if you could share this opportunity to teachers under your program.

Apec Cyber Academy has different contest category which would fit the learning competencies/curriculum in different subject areas like English, Math, Health and Science, History and TLE/Computer classes. The contest starts this February 17 and ends on April 19, 2008. Each winning team (which is composed of student/s and a teacher) will receive certificate from Taiwan and a chance to attend the international convention in Taiwan this year.

Please register now so you and your students could prepare in advance since all modules for each learning activity are now ready for browsing. Aside from uploading outputs, there will be live virtual conference for students with volunteer facilitators from Philippines, Taiwan and USA which could enhance student's English language proficiency.

We educate others and ourselves to learn and enhance our existing knowledge and skills. We all aim to become globally competitive to end up productive. But where is the thrust of our becoming educated?


Everyday, anywhere, violence, discriminations and a lot of oppressive and depressing events and stories unfold right before our eyes, be it in school, church, public governance and worst, at home! Where did we fail in educating this generation?


I believe global competitiveness need not bargain the value of one’s existence. It is not enough to develop our skills only for our own survival; rather it is a need to maximize our full potentials to see on a bigger perspective the kind of world we are into...but we will never see it, if we don't change our way of thinking!


Global education could open our eyes. Through the use of information and communication technology, we can reach out globally at a cheap cost and at our convenience. Maximizing these available tools around us could foster global respect as we understand each other's uniqueness and individual needs.


A lot have been taking advantage of these technologies for wrong motives, which further aggravates the complexities of our world. But the real battle lies on our own hands. Whether we choose to remain passive or be proactive in taking the solution. So many things have been said, written and read, but few have taken real steps.


The challenge to combat this abusive manipulation could start right within our homes and teaching institutions where all of us could partake towards this call for change.


We need education for peace and not for our own personal pleasure, for sustainable development and not for overnight good deeds and for environment and not for selfish consumptions.


What we need is EDUCATION FOR ALL, that will eradicate selfishness and make everyone learn how to make a living together in harmony with others.

chapters 19-26

A.if i were to organize the 100th year anniversary of little prince pub. i would organize the topic for the adults and childrens .

B.he works like an adult, the little prince is a child-like because he is still a child and adult said that the brain of a child can store knowledgemore than the adults so that's the characteristics of the little prince so he is achild.

C. she is full of hope,meaningful life,and wise.

D. he appeared and disappeared on earth.

E. the reason is the pilotn is very sad and so tired .By hidding our true felling fillings from others

1.We should not not look at a personal appearance but wht is in the heart

2.if we have promised we should be responsibly do it

3.it's true other other just say words but not doing it and we each other cant have understanding

4. we will be more pretty if we have good heart and kind heart

5.having a true and loyal friends is more important than having more friends that is bad

6.if you have a true friend, it is sweet to remember the good and bad memories you both shared

CHAPTER 10-18



A. The king uttered the line. We should have to help one another, in order to have a successful and well and good job.

B. We judge ourselves before we judge others because some people are judging the other selves without thinking or first judging themselves.

C. It means that conceited people never hear anything but praises they did not hear bad things. No they don’t.

D. Is drinking so that he may forget that he is ashamed of drinking. “I am drinking so that I may forget problems.”

E. The businessman wants to be rich because it makes it possible for him to buy more stars, if any are discovered.

F. There is nothing to understand because order is order nothing can replace it. We should follow orders because orders are to be following nothing can change it.

G. The little prince realized that the lamplighter is different from the others. Yes, because he is unridiculous different from the others, he did always follow orders forever.

H. The geographer is already old like the adults. He represents some adults are wise and joker.

I. The pilot describe the earth is beautiful. For me the earth is beautiful and amazing.

J. Because the snake thinks he is mighty and smart.

K. Life has challenges it depends on you when you are weak strong to face challenges, when you are weak you cannot in win or survive.

Answers To The Little Prince: Chapters 19-26


a. I would have book making contest, poster-making contest and parent-to-child conversation activities. So that they may understand each other and learn more about The Little Prince.

b. He is caring to all things. He is very curious and has a sensitive heart. I would recommend this book to all ages; old and young. So that adults can understand children and the other way around.

c. His life was cloudy with questions abot his life and he wanted to know more about peple. He was curious why people posses ths do that and many more.

d. He suffered and died because of the snakebite and hunger but he ascended to his planet on the next day.

e. Because maybe pilots won't believe and understand the pilot's journey and experience with the Little Prince. people don't tell others their feelings because they think about the reaction of the ones who knows it.

1. You need to use your heart to decide or to understand or even truly see the things happenning around you.
2. You are responsible for what you have molded and have loved. You must take care of them and must value the one's that you have tamed.
3. Sometimes silence means peace and words that we utter causes trouble. We must be careful of the words we speak.
4. It is nice because it is better to receive something if you worked and searched hard for it.
5. You have tamed a thing so it is better than all the things because it has received your tender loving care.
6. You can really feel the love if you are far inof from it. You will miss it and you will always remember your loved one's and other's

Every person has a journey in life.I mean the destiny of every people.How the life are running.We are hopeless and we think that the problem we have cannot be solve and were wlway's thinking that we have no hope.

I read from the story that the Little Prince had encountered different kinds of planet.Encountered many person.He passed many obstacles in life and every travel he had done.he sacrifice his own happiness just to follow his mision in life.He realized what is wrong with him and what he are doing.He is so hard working to reach that thing and to discover that words but eventhough he had many obstacles he try to success that things.
Like for me that in my life there was many problems that I think it cannot be solve.But Im trying to solve it on my own.Because in my life I have my own problem that my mother dont know so Im trying to kept that problem so that my mother cannot know my problem .Because if she know my problem she will murmured about my problem.So every evening Im always praying to the God that my problem will be solve on my own.Im always trusting in god and my prayer was pleased.

I realized and I had learned that,if we have a problem in our personal life do not lose hope just pray to God and trust in him.Try and try to until you success that things.Obstacles cannot be erase in our life it is the one that will test our stength in life how will the way you accept.solve that problem.Just like what did the little prince.

A. He searched lng to find someone who could understand his drawing until he met The Little prince telling that adult's need to understand children and that they have eunique and great tallent's.

B.He tried and tried to draw a sheep until he came up with an idea of a drawing of a sheep in a box safe and sound telling us that children such as The Little Prince have very wide imaginations to understand ones imagination.

C.Because the astronomer was wearing a Turkish costume. Adults consider it hard to believe or respect people wearing least respective costumes or clothes these day's.

D.When it is made out of expensive materials. Because of this adults oftenly think that good houses are usually the one's that cost's much expences and the one's that are the ones which are not bad and ugly.

E..Baobabs are plants that appear to be harmless when small but when it grows up, it consumes your planet and destroys it which reflect's your problems,once you wont solve them while it is still light,and will haunt you which will make it bigger and bigger then it was.

F.He acted in an angry way because he believed that he has more problems to face than the pilot did.

G.a rainy and wet place to be at.

H.They are like thing's made to take good care of you,they must be in order and follow every will of the little Prince.

I.The flower; You must first have problems (caterpillars) to have joy and blessings (butterflies).

J.She wanted the Prince to go to see someone who is persuasive and convincing and that people have different point of view's from one another.

K.They are like best friends,watching over each other,having mutual and friendly feeling's for one another. They love and care for each other. In my opinion friend's are like angel's,watching and taking good care of each other.

A. The King from Asteroid 325. A person must only do things that he can really do and make.

B.It mean's that it is difficult to judge your self rather then to judging other's,and also tell's that it is easier to blame other's then to be true to yourself.

C.It mean's that they are boastful in a way. They also dont have eny problem in hearing aswell.

D.It mean's thing can't replace a bad thing and that some people do bad thing's to forget about the bad thing's which they have done in their life, previousley.

E.Alot of people want's to be wealthy. He also wanted to be wealthy.

F.The lamplighter halp's and does his job well in many way's but He doesn't know how to understand it very much.

G.He understand's lighter because he has quite an honorable profession. Yes, because people who does this kind of job should be known and understood.

H.Adult's are quite greedy at time's,He also represent's that the adult's at time's keep thing's to themselve's.

I.He said that it was a place of wonder's and magic and that it was very crowded it seemed to be a great place to live.

J.HE is very confident knowing that even if he is small he is a great use to all thing's.

K. Some people don't see,observe,watch or even understand some thing's properly.

I am MUSLIM, and like all the Christians and the Jewishes, I belive the Resurrection, the Death, the Hell, the Paradise…and I worship GOD-ALLAH
And because I am alive, I prefer life than death, I like music, sports, relationships, money, sex… but I keep myself, and I have my rules, it’s not different from yours and may be the same…
So, why do you think I am TERRORISTE? What is your argument?

But if I say that the Muslims and the Islam are not for you, and at the same time against them, what you will say?!
Look! The global idea of Islam is live in peace, we don’t need to kill the other, and we are not allowed to do that, the CORAN says that if someone killed one person for nothing it’s like he killed all the world, and no one from the Muslims want replaced him. So, there is no relation between Islam and Terrorism.
There is another thing, if you learn the history of human you will find that the Terrorism is a phenomenon existing in every era, and before the Islam we had the Terrorism.

Actually, we are Terrorists! We make the Terrorism! To understand that we have ask ourselves this question: what is the Terrorism?
I think that the Terrorism is a war of ideas, most of people don’t accept the other cultures, and sometimes they see the people who belive it as crazy and stupid people, and this few people to defend themselves they do strong and wildly reactions full of violence.
